1/1/2009: A long-time friend and employee, Marty Curley, recently left True North to become a pastor in the great state of Tenessee. We threw an "Employee Recognition Party" where Marty won all the awards: Best Laugh, Miss Congeniality, and Employee of the Year. His family was invited and, in between food and cake, everyone got a chance to tell Marty why he is such a wonderful guy. His going away present was a giant snowball, of course!
11/10/2008: Ken Boegeman, Jr. passed a rigorous 6 hour exam covering all aspects of the snow removal business from snow and ice sciences to legal issues. This test was created and is proctored by the Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA). By passing this test, Ken has earned the title of Certified Snow Professional (CSP). Many take this test every year and very few pass it. Congratulations to Ken.
5/1/2008: True North donated 8 tons of sand to a Rockhurst University project for TLC (www.tlckids.org). The sand went to building an outdoor sand volleyball court for the many children who come and go at TLC.
