This section contains resources for kids dealing with grief as well as information for adults who want to learn how to better support kids.

Teens deal with death and grief differently than younger children. We have tailored programs and information specifically toward teens that have lost a loved one or a close friend.

For Young Adults
Even in our young adulthood, dealing with the loss of a loved one can be very difficult. Our new programs for young adults provide a safe, supportive environment for those ages 18-30.

Professionals can learn about upcoming training opportunities, ways to support grieving children and teens with whom they work, and how to refer families to our program.

Ted E. Bear Hollow will be turning 10 in 2011, and what better way to celebrate than moving into a new home! Join us on Wednesday, October 27, from 4:30pm-6pm for a kick-off event for our growth campaign, "10 Years...and Growing". This event will be held at our future building, 7815 Farnam Drive. Refreshments will be served and a brief program will introduce you these exciting developments at Ted E. Bear Hollow. Take a tour of the building, see how construction is progressing, and scope out all the rooms! We won't be moving until 2011, so be the first to get a sneak peak at our home-to-be!

Tinsel and Tears

Help During the Holidays
Join us this November and December for Tinsel and Tears, a day camp to support grieving families during the holidays. Food, drinks, and all-new activities make for a fun-filled afternoon. With four camps to choose from, there's no reason to miss this wonderful event!
Camps will be held November 20, November 21, December 4, and December 5, from 1pm-5pm. There will be a volunteer orientation on those mornings at 11am. Each camp will be held at Ted E. Bear Hollow with the exception of December 4, which will be held in Council Bluffs.
