What are your memories of camp?
My first memories of the camp were from the days when my grandfather was farming the place. We had family picnics there in the summer, and explored up and down the creek and all over the flood plain. I can remember seeing my cousins swing from the hayloft of the barn that was located about where the camp store is now. There was another barn located pretty close to the present swimming area. It was obsolete and was burned as a “practice” fire— the fire got away for a little while.
Our family has been proud to see the vision of my parents and the Carol Joy Holling staff come to fruition. We are all very proud of what has been done in our sister’s memory.
