For over eighty years, Salem Congregational Church has provided a center for the proclamation of the Gospel and loving fellowship, bringing peace to people’s lives. We are a Bible Believing, Bible Preaching, and a Bible Teaching Church Family.
These are especially exciting days in which to be living. With the world in such turmoil and strife and people struggling to find meaning and purpose, the church of Jesus Christ has the most relevant answer. Our mission is to proclaim the Gospel as stated in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4:
“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures.” It is our hope to meet people of all ages and backgrounds right where they are. We have two services that are arranged to meet different type of worship. Our first service at 8:45 is the Contemporary Service that begins with about 20 minutes of praise and worship music followed by the message. It is a very relaxed atmosphere where everyone can feel comfortable in what you wear and where you sit. After the Contemporary Service we have coffee and donuts downstairs for fellowship time as the kids get ready for Sunday School which is from 9:45 - 10:30am. During this time we also have an Adult Study from 10 – 10:30am. This is followed by our Traditional Service beginning at 10:45am. This service has more of a structured format with hymns and a choir that shares with us weekly. Our goal in all of this is to design a worship Sunday that can meet the needs of our community no matter what your age or time schedule is like.

Our Goals are
1. To provide facilities and leadership to bind together in fellowship followers of Jesus Christ for the purpose of sharing in Christian worship of God, and making His will dominant in the lives of men, individually and collectively, especially the will as it is set forth in the life, teachings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
2. To acquaint, through preaching, teaching and example, all men with the way of salvation and lead them to Christ, who has the power to save and transform.
3. To work cooperatively with all Christians in the building of the Kingdom of God through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, through administration of the sacraments, the maintenance of Sunday School, AWANA, Youth Group, Bible Study, prayer, social meetings, and other religious services, and through participation in the greater program of missions both home and abroad.
