Nearly every surgery Dr. Popp performs can be done under straight local anesthesia (numbing the area with just a Novacain-like solution), local plus some sedation (twilight sleep), or general anesthesia (completely out). Those patients worried about being awake can be put out and those fearful of being “put to sleep” can have their surgery done awake and pain free.

After working hard to lose more than 120 pounds, I was left with extra skin on my arms. My daughter in Omaha contacted Dr. Popp, explained that I lived in another state, and asked if he would be willing to do the surgery even though he would not meet me until possibly the day before the procedure. When you are pleased with the service and outcome of your cosmetic procedure and discuss it with your family and friends, you may receive questions and comments that identify potential clients for Dr. Popps services. There is no charge for a consultation with Dr. Popp if the meeting is scheduled in advance and you arrive at the scheduled appointment.

Dr. Popp will discuss your wishes and evaluate your expectations for the procedure about which you are inquiring. Often there are both surgical and non-surgical options you may want to consider before making a decision, and those will be presented for consideration. This is also your opportunity to view before and after photos, discuss recovery time frames and review finance options.

Normally, a consultation or a procedure can be scheduled within a two to four week timeframe.

Dr. Popp’s office complex includes a certified surgical suite where all surgeries take place. If your porcedure requires general anesthesia, a certified anesthesiologist will adminitster it and remaind on site for the procedure. There are no overnight stays required.

We understand many clients’ need for privacy and keep all consultations and surgeries very confidential. Our facility offers rear door access to patients who do not wish to be seen entering or exiting for any meeting or procedure.

Following some procedures there may be a recommendation for prescriptions to address possible infections, pain, etc.; some procedures may require the purchase of support garments to be warn for a period of time. In your initial consultation with Dr. Popp, your specific procedure will be discussed including what you can expect before and after the surgery.

Because of the spectrum of services we offer, our clients are often surprised by the variety of affordable options available that result in the outcome that is desired. Many different insurance plans are accepted; Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted; finance plans are available.

Certain procedures may be covered by insurance if those procedures are necessary to relieve/correct a physical state documented to be the source of pain or discomfort such as large breasts causing back pain or drooping eyelids impairing vision. Financing, including the potential of insurance coverage, is one of the subjects covered in an initial consultation.

Yes, Dr. Popp can prescribe medication to be taken to calm your nerves before the surgery in which case, even if your procedure requires only local anesthesia, you will need to arrange for someone to drive you home.
